Chalet an der Piste is a ski-in/ski-out chalet in Kaprun, directly at the Maiskogel piste. The Maiskogel ski area is directly connected by lifts with the Kitzsteinhorn Glacier, making the chalet an exceptional base for a ski holiday in Zell am See-Kaprun.
That location changes the rhythm of a winter holiday. No crowded ski bus in the morning, no long walk through the village in ski boots carrying skis, snowboards and children's equipment, and no drive to a valley station to search for parking. When the Maiskogel piste beside the chalet is open, step outside, put on your skis and start your ski day. At the end of the day, ski back to the chalet, store your equipment in the ski room and relax with family or friends.
Inside, Chalet an der Piste offers two spacious and independent apartments: the Garden Apartment and the Penthouse Apartment. Each can accommodate 1–11 guests and has four separate bedrooms, two bathrooms, a separate toilet, a spacious living and dining area and a fully equipped kitchen with Siemens appliances. The two apartments can also be rented together for groups of up to 22 guests.
One of the chalet's most distinctive features is the view. From the living rooms, balconies and terrace, you look across Kaprun and towards the Kitzsteinhorn and the surrounding high mountains. In winter, family and friends can even ski past the chalet. In spring and autumn, the same view reveals one of the most beautiful contrasts of the Alps: a green or golden valley below while snow still covers — or returns to — the glacier and high peaks.
Winter holidays: step outside and ski
Distance to the slopes: next to it. Chalet an der Piste is directly at the Maiskogel piste in Kaprun. When the piste beside the chalet is open, simply put on your ski boots, step outside and ski or snowboard down towards the lifts. At the end of the day, ski back home to the chalet.
From the Maiskogel, modern lifts connect directly towards the Kitzsteinhorn Glacier. The Kitzsteinhorn glacier ski area typically opens in autumn when snow conditions permit and continues into spring, while ski-in/ski-out from the chalet depends on the Maiskogel piste beside the house being open.
With the Ski ALPIN CARD, skiers can also explore Schmittenhöhe in Zell am See and the Skicircus Saalbach Hinterglemm Leogang Fieberbrunn — around 408 km of pistes across the full network.

Two spacious apartments for families and groups
The Garden Apartment and Penthouse Apartment each offer four bedrooms and generous living space for 1–11 guests. Rent one apartment or combine both floors for a larger family or group.
Both apartments have underfloor heating, Sony TVs in the bedrooms, large-screen Sony OLED TVs in the living rooms, Apple TV, Netflix, Disney+ and free high-speed Wi-Fi. A dedicated ski room provides ski storage and heated boot racks. The Garden Apartment also has an infrared sauna.

Spring, summer and autumn holidays in Zell am See-Kaprun
When the snow disappears from the valley, Chalet an der Piste becomes a completely different Alpine home. Green mountains, long days and warm sunshine invite you outside, while the chalet remains a spacious and private base for exploring Zell am See-Kaprun.
Pack a picnic and find a quiet place beside a mountain stream or Lake Zell, hike through the mountains, explore the region by bike or e-bike, play golf or spend a day swimming and relaxing. For more adventure, the region offers mountain biking, rafting and canyoning.
Visit the Kaprun High Mountain Reservoirs, experience the Kitzsteinhorn and Top of Salzburg, drive the Grossglockner High Alpine Road, enjoy Lake Zell or relax at TAUERN SPA. Then return to your own balcony or terrace and watch the evening light change across the Kaprun valley.
Spring and autumn add something unusual. From Chalet an der Piste you can see the seasons meet: blossom and fresh green in the valley while the Kitzsteinhorn and high peaks remain white in spring, or golden autumn colours below while new snow returns to the mountains. Glacier skiing may be possible on the Kitzsteinhorn when snow and operating conditions permit.
